Nod ya head, the black suits comin' ~ Will Smith, Black in Black
Well, ok, I ain't really in black, but it was the song I was listening to when I was nearly finished with this.
Naturally, the first assumption is: this isn't my style. And you'd be right. Originally, I was gonna do another comic-ID or maybe something similar to the comic-style I do naturally.
But then this happened.
I suddenly wanted something different; I wanted to experiment, expand, explore, try something new. I tested brushes, changed settings, brushed and erased on every line, pressed hard and soft on the tablet surface.
Until finally it came to this.
Is it a masterpiece? Is it beautiful? Is it art incarnate?
Not really. I just reckon it looks cool.
But what would've been something simple and fairly common (while still good in its own way), it transformed with my own sense of expanding on something.
Cause that's what I feel art is about: exploring, testing, creating. Not merely for recognition, not for popularity, not for a trophy at the end.
Really one of your best ones yet.
