Working on some animation for my demo reel.

Pretty rough at this stage so I'm still currently working on it. Any suggestions or critiques are welcome.

Edit: 18/02/09
Edited the throw to emphasise greater weight.

Edit: 14/03/09
Started animating a second box for him to throw. There will eventually be three boxes overall. Still need to refine his pick up, and may need to add struggle to his turn.

Didn't do much editing to the first throw.

Maybe a bit slower on the drop and pickup, since he wouldn't want to strain himself or break the contents.

As long as it doesn't have a fire symbol on the side, feel free to throw!

First box throw is still good and I like how he goes about picking up the second box. For some reason though, I feel like the second box slide forward or left a tiny bit when he drops it back down. The plopping down straight like that seems a little off to me. Other then that though, this looks really good. :3

Because of the rough stage, I prefer drawing the back leg to keep my mind focusing on his stance. If I remove it for too long, he'll start to pose awkwardly.

If it were a finished product, the box would be solid and no leg would be seen.

I think the box should fall with a bit more of a THUNK. when you drop it.

i think the curve in his back dips too soon...the spine should rise as a curve, then as the shoulders rise, taht should reverse that curve naturally. it's like a timing thing, it looks like he's under weight before he actually starts lifting the box...might be just me though, what do you think?

It looks like you're tossing the box back to yourself...but it has a time lag in getting back to you. I blame portals for all of it. Also nearly frictionless floor.

Still looks good, and you can definitely see the change in weight between the last version and this one. Coming along nicely.

I've tried to think of the amazing sliding box being on a conveyor belt of sorts...minus the fact I haven't drawn one

I think, slow the start of the pick up a little bit more. To show it's heavy, then the quick pick up, the rest seems awesome.
